Dr. Abla Creasey is Vice President of Therapeutics and Strategic Infrastructure at the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM).

CIRM aims to accelerate stem cell treatments to patients with unmet medical needs and awards grants for R&D in all areas of stem cell research which contribute to that goal.

Dr. Creasey has built up CIRM’s clinical portfolio. She has broad and extensive experience in science, technology, and pharmaceutical product development. She worked at Johnson & Johnson for 12 years, where she was Senior Scientific Director in Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing Sciences at Janssen and Executive Director, heading drug delivery, pharmacology, analytical characterization, clinical & quality at Advanced Technologies & Regenerative Medicine – among the other high level positions she’s held.
Dr. Creasey holds a PhD in medical microbiology from the UC Berkeley.  She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine in infectious disease, biochemistry, and immunology.
